PLACED | Paris 4th | German-Speaking Nanny | September 2022
A Franco-German family living in the 4th arrondissement are looking for a German-speaking nanny to join them from September 2022. The family have a 7-year-old daughter and are expecting a baby boy for the end of June.
The family also employs an au pair, who is there to support the nanny.
After the birth of the baby, mum will be returning to work fairly quickly (September/October) and will return to her busy work schedule including business trips away from home so is looking for a nanny who can hit the ground running and is comfortable with a small baby.
The typical daily schedule of the nanny will be as follow:
At 8:30 a.m., one of the parents will drop the little girl off at school. She will stay at the canteen for lunch and the nanny will pick her up at 3:30 p.m from school.
The nanny's day will begin at 8:15/8:20 a.m. when she will take over the care of the baby. She will take care for him all day and make sure his needs are met and help him to reach his developmental goals.
At 3.30pm nanny and baby will pick up the eldest from school and come home to supervise homework completion. Once this is complete, the little girl can play in the secured inner courtyard.
The nanny will be asked to keep the children busy in the afternoon with indoor activities, bath time and dinner routine between 6:30 p.m. / 7:00 p.m.
At 6.30pm the au pair will take over care of the children and the parents will return home by 7:30 p.m.
The working hours expected are 50 hours per week.
Experience with babies will be required.
The nanny will be responsible for all the children's needs, such as school runs and accompaniment to extracurricular activities or visits to doctors.
She will also be in charge of organising their daily life (making appointments, shopping for their needs, etc.), taking care of their clothes and tidying up their living spaces.
The nanny will not be responsible for the needs of the parents, nor for the maintenance of the family home. A housekeeper takes care of the home twice a week.
The job is offered on a live-out basis.
The nanny will not be asked to accompany the family on holidays.
5 weeks of paid vacation will be provided for the nanny.
