What’s the cost of hiring a Maternity Nurse, Nanny or Governess?

We understand that for those looking to bring a maternity nurse, nanny or governess into their homes for the first time, the financial elements could seem confusing.

With over 30 years’ experience in placing exceptional candidates, we are very happy to talk you through all aspects. It is important to note that in addition to the candidate’s salary, there is a fee payable, as well as any costs incurred related to immigration, tax and social security.

Our Fees for differing types of placement are below, but do get in touch to discuss your individual requirements.

  • United Kingdom

    Temporary Placements

    20% of the candidate’s net salary for the duration of the placement; with a minimum fee of £250 per week

    Permanent Placements

    20% of the candidate’s net annual salary for the first year

  • France

    Temporary Placements

    20% of the candidate’s net salary for the duration of the placement; with a minimum fee of €250 per week

    Permanent Placements

    20% of the candidates net annual salary for the first year

  • Worldwide

    Temporary Placements

    25% of the candidate’s net salary for the duration of the placement.

    Permanent Placements

    25% of the candidate’s net annual salary for the first year.

Terms of Business

The following fees are payable by clients upon an offer of engagement which has been accepted by a candidate and once the contract of employment has been signed. In any case, the fees are payable before the start of the placement.

Fees charged relate to one engagement only. If a candidate subsequently rejoins the Client at any time in the future, the Client undertakes to inform the Agency and to pay the relevant introduction fee again.

Fees are subject to VAT at 20% in the United Kingdom only.

All immigration formalities, tax & social security and medical cover are the sole responsibility of the client.

Nannies Incorporated will make every effort to find the right person for your family. However, if a professional problem does arise with a candidate within the first eight weeks of employment, we will seek to replace her free of charge. If no suitable replacement is found, we will reimburse you the difference between the permanent fee and the prorata fee related to the number of weeks worked.
