A family living in the 16th arrondissement of Paris is currently looking for an English-speaking nanny to care for their 6 year old boy. The position will start in early May.
The mother is an actress, while the father is an entrepreneur. The current nanny, who has been in place for several months, must return to Australia for personal reasons.
The little boy is bilingual and attends a Montessori school in the 16th arrondissement. The little boy is hypersensitive and will need to be handled in a very gentle and caring manner so that he is not upset in any way . He loves music, opera, museums etc. It is important that the nanny be able to stimulate him intellectually, and that she is gentle. The parents are looking for a nanny who is passionate about their job. She must be full of initiative, but also responsible and willing to explore all opportunities to help their son maximise his potential.
The nanny will be responsible for taking the little boy for walks in the park; accompanying him to all outdoor activities; planning creative activities at home; learning English, organizing visits to friends as well as to the doctor, the hairdresser etc. when required.
The little boy generally eats with his parents and they put him to bed, unless they are out.
The nanny will be responsible for preparing the little boy for entry to first grade, as well as supporting him with homework in French.
It is essential that the nanny is patient, caring and kind.
The nanny will work from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays during school term. Two evenings for babysitting per week, will also be included.
During the 11 weeks of school holidays, she will work from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday. This is equivalent to 32 hours worked per week during school periods and 58 hours worked per week during vacation periods (including 2 baby sittings).
During the school holidays, the nanny will accompany the family to the mountains for one week and spend three weeks on a boat during the summer or go to the countryside.
A housekeeper is employed and the nanny will not be responsible for the little boy's room, laundry nor preparation of his meals.
The nanny will be entitled to 5 weeks of paid vacation per year.
Employment is offered either on a live-in or live-out basis.

Salary: €3,000 net per month.
