PLACED | Madrid | Spanish Speaking Nanny Sought | Flexible Start Date
A friendly family of 4 based in Madrid, Spain is looking for a Spanish speaking nanny to join them in caring for their new baby born and their 5 year old daughter.
The children speak German and English with their parents but both are keen for them to learn Spanish to help them in Madrid.
The eldest is in year 1 in the nearby English school.
It is vital that the successful candidate has good experience caring for babies as well as young children.
Start Date: Flexible for the right person.
Length of Position: 6 months to begin with, with the possibility of extending further if both sides would like.
Working hours: 10 hours per day, 5 days per week. The usual daily schedule will involve working from 7.30am - 11.30am, taking a lunchtime break, then resume working from around 2.30/3pm onwards. A nanny opening to using her 10 hours during the evenings twice per week would be highly thought off.
Duties: Caring for both children, assisting with readying the eldest for school, changing baby, assisting as needed with feeding baby, helping baby reach his developmental milestones, caring for the eldest afterschool, assisting with her Spanish language acquisition, devising fun activities with her, assisting with the children's dinner and evening routines.
This position would suit a nanny with a proactive and flexible character, happy to chip in and help with cooking for the family or doing the children's laundry whilst baby sleeps.
Accommodation: A nice big, separate room is provided for nanny's use with her own area. Nanny is also welcome to make use of the pool and gym in the home.
Please note that only candidates who hold an EU passport or already have the right to work in Spain will be considered.
Salary: €2,500-€3,500 net per month, dependent on experience and qualifications.
Travel: There may be some Europe based travel involved.
