A friendly, professional family in Bucharest, Romania are searching for a live in nanny to join them in caring for their children. Their eldest is almost 3 years old and their new baby is due in August 2024.
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: 6 days per week, 12 hours per day. The family are happy to offer 2-3 consecutive days off each month as needed also so nanny can feel rested.
Duties: Speaking excellent English the nanny would be entirely responsible for the care and education of the children. The chosen candidate will use their experience and knowledge from their professional training to devise educational activities for the eldest around her pre-school hours, the nanny will make her breakfast in the mornings, ensure she gets to preschool (she will attend pre-school at the international school from 8am - 12pm during the week from September onwards), plan her activities and topics of learning for the afternoon whilst she is at pre-school, pick her up from pre-school, settle her for her nap, encourage good manners by sitting with her for all of her snacks and meals, take her for outings and walks, engage her in learning opportunities and manage her dinner, bath and bed schedule. Eventually the nanny will also care for the youngest child after the family's maternity nurse's booking is finished. The nanny will assist with weaning baby onto solids, assist with tweaking baby's schedule as they drop naps and ensure baby has activity time to work towards their developmental milestones.
Excellent English is a must, an additional European language would be a plus.
A Norland qualification would also be a plus.
Accommodation: A separate bedroom and bathroom within the family home will be provided with a separate kitchenette area for the nanny to use.
Travel: The family travel 2-3 times per year with their children in Europe or as far away as Dubai and would like the nanny to accompany them on these trips. There will also be times in which the parents will travel without the nanny and children and proxy parenting will be required.
Salary: Beginning at around €6,000 net for a 6 day work week.
